Material? All grassland objects consist of dried grass. Further watering would damage the grass objects. The objects are natural products and thereby unique by its growth. The roots intertwine and form a stable joint area. Durability? The oldest grassland object dates back to 1992 – please see image on the left! The grass is conserved by the special technique of drying. Individual grass seeds may come off because they are solely fixed by the natural interconnection of the roots. Colour, structure and texture changes.
Transformation? The painted grass hardly changes. The natural grass changes its colour from dark green to straw-colour. Depending on the incidence of light – artificial or daylight – the colours can take up to two years to change. In addition, the grass follows the law of gravity and bends down slowly. After three to four years, the appearance of the grass hardly changes any further.
Maintenance? The grass needs no further maintenance. The stainless steel can be cleaned with normal household cleaning products.
